Soul Idea Lab ("SOUL", "we", "us") is a branding and digital agency based at 300 - 6060 Silver Drive, Burnaby, BC V5C 0H5, Canada.

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through soulidealab.com, in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We only collect personal information you choose to give us. When you use our contact form, we collect:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number
• your company name, if you provide it
• the message you send us

If you email or call us directly, we keep that correspondence. To keep the form free of spam, we briefly check your IP address in memory; we don't store it with your message.

We use your information to:

• reply to your inquiry and discuss your project
• keep a record of our conversations with you
• protect our website from spam and abuse

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your light or dark theme preference so the site remembers it; this stays on your device.

Some project videos are streamed from Vimeo, which may set its own cookies when a video plays. Vimeo's use of that information is covered by its own privacy policy. Our case studies also link to project websites run by other companies, which have their own privacy practices.

We use trusted providers to run this website and handle your inquiry:

• Vercel, to host the website
• MongoDB, to store form submissions and website content
• Cloudflare, to store website images and files
• Resend, to deliver form notifications to our team

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. They may only use it to provide their services to us.

We keep inquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, work with you, and keep reasonable business records. When we no longer need them, we delete them.

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and only authorized members of our team can access form submissions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. Email us at hello@soulidealab.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
